Projects With Purpose

For over 30 years, we’ve come alongside the poorest people in the Dominican Republic to provide shelter and an escape from the cycle of poverty.
The projects we've completed include
homes, schools, clinics and complete villages.
So far, through the generosity of our supporters,
we have built 16 villages representing over 2000 homes,
12 churches, 8 schools, 6 clinics, 6 playgrounds and 3 vocational schools.
Take a look below at some of the work we've done so far.

Many children in Puerto Plata suffer from treatable illnesses and have no realistic opportunity to access the care they need.

Grace Paediatric Medical Centre addresses the desperate need for local, specialized paediatric care, following a “no child refused” policy. This means that every child seeking help, regardless of socioeconomic status, will receive state-of-the-art healthcare.

Paradise Vocational Institute

Paradise Vocational Institute / Instituto Vocacional Paraiso

The vocational school was established to help the undereducated, poor people of the NorthCoast learn skills that would lead to viable employment, allowing them to provide for their families and avoiding an otherwise inevitable life spent in compromising situations.

Classes offered at the school include, beauty school, barbering, furniture making and upholstery, electrical(residential and industrial), computers and computer software, and refrigeration and air conditioning repair. We are thankful for our continued partnership with INFO TEP (National Institute of the Formation of Technical Professionals) that provide instructors for these programs and forPastor Rick Sucher that oversees the daily operations of the school. These programs are contributing significantly to the skill development and empowerment of the local community. We invite you to come alongside this great work and see the vocational programs in action

Villa Rio De Vida (River of Life village)

Villa Rio De Vida

Rio De Vida is our 16th village,
providing 148 homes to families in need. This community includes a church and a seniors’ residence. Just completed is an extension to the church with an additional building for offices and a library.

This year we begin construction on a high school
to accommodate 210 students aged 12 to 17.
The first phase will include 7 classrooms, 3 offices, 5 bathrooms, 1 dining room/events salon, 1 library and a storage area. We anticipate its completion in summer of 2024.

In addition, contractors are working on Peace Park, a project dedicated in memory to Lena Madonia, encompassing an 850 -square meter area adjacent to the church. This park will be a beautiful addition to this community!
